WON'T BE LONG !!!!!!!! PDF Print E-mail

We just can’t catch a break in the weather, can we? A few flounder are being in the Indian River bay and a few have been caught in Massey’s Ditch.

Striper action is slowly improving in the Indian River Inlet. In the Delaware Bay,

Captain Chet Harer and Capt. Brent Wiest on “LIL ANGLER II” and “KATYDID”

Have been bangin’ up the tog and mixing in some striper action to boot. They

Had a flounder score for their anglers. Capt Boyd Lord on “CAP N SNOOZE”

took Jeff Fisher to Site #10 to score a limit of nice tog. Green crabs and salted

clams did the trick.

'Til next week, have fun and be safe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on Mother Nature !!!!!!!! PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 March 2011 14:36

Mother Nature just won't let loose with the nice warm weather. Not very much is happening

yet. A few flounder have been taken in the VFW Slough and near the Power Plant. I heard of

one keeper striper being caught at 3R's Road and some t-backs in the Broadkill. All were taken on

bloodworms. April 9th we will be having another flea market. Bring your fishing equipment that you

no longer use, get some cash, and come on in and buy some new toys. There is no charge to set

up. One space per person and come eartly as some folks are planning on setting up between 5 &

6 am. Don't miss out, last year was lots of fun.

Hope to hear screeeeeeeaaaamin' reels soon !!!!!!

Still Fishin' ! PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 12 December 2010 10:51

Hi Folks,

There are still a few fish being taken on days when Mother Nature

allows us on the water. A few tog and sea bass have been taken from

some of the inshore wrecks and reefsites. A few stripers, mostly shorts,

have been taken in Indian River Inlet. Scott Fluharty and crew the

coastline south and had a pretty good day of striper fishing. Gil

Waddington on “One More Bill” had Joe Lombardo, Randy Micklus,

And Ron Campbell to Site #10 for a score of 40 tog to 6 pounds. Capt.

Chuck Cook of “First Light Charters” has been keeping on top of the

fishing scene with a mix of stripers, tog and sea bass.

‘Til next week, Have Fun and Be Safe !!!!!

Fishing is slow! PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 05 December 2010 09:04

Hi Folks,

Things are still a bit slow and I don’t think the weather is the only

problem. It surely seems we just don’t have the number of good-sized

fish that we should by this time of year. The mouth of Delaware Bay is

giving up a few real nice fish, as is the Indian River Inlet and just a bit

off the beaches. Live spot, black salties, live eels, bucktails, and trolling

stretches has all produced fish. Most fish are falling short of the 28 inch

limit and the numbers are down.I hope the fish have not passed us by.

Capt. Chuck Cook of “First Light Charters” scored some stripers

to 20 pounds while drifting eels at a targeted depth between the 8’s. Bob

Cleveland on “Deputy Dog” boated short stripers and some real nice blues

while trolling the coastline from the inlet south to Fenwick. Massey’s Ditch

has not provided much activity lately. Hopefully better fishing is in Santa’s

bag of goodies!

‘Til next week, Have Fun and Be Safe!!!!!!!!!

More wind !!!!!!!!! PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 28 November 2010 08:53

Hi folks,

Wind continues to be a major problem in getting stripers

on the boat. On the days that you can fish your normal hotspots the

results are still not real favorable for most. Trevor Smethurst fished

outside the inlet trolling a “Stretch 25” on his Uncle’s boat”Fishfull

Thinking ll” and scored a 45 inch striper that weighed in at 27.14 Lbs.

Buster Davis has been successfully fishing the Indian River Inlet using

flies. Bob Cleveland on “Deputy Dog” has been trolling up some real nice

blues and is determined to score that big striper. Capt. Brent Wiest on

“KatyDid” had the gang out on Thanksgiving Day to bang up stripers

to 27 pounds. Colder water and a lot less wind sure could make things

improve in a hurry.

‘Til next week, have fun and be safe !!!!!!!!!!!
